Work-related Blogs and Work
On these issues blogs James Richards (lecturer at a university in Scotland)
Richards is in the process of beginning a research project into web communication technology (e.g. blogs, on-line groups, instant messenger, Podcasting, RSS [really simple sydication] and WIKIs), and its role in shaping the world of work.
The focus of his attention so far has been the 'blog' (e.g. recent examples of employees being sacked for blogging about work) and I am making a start on RSSs.
In his blog he have recently set up links to over 130 work-related blogs (contains examples of policemen, firefighters, bus driver, engineers, pharmacist, lawyers, nurses, call centre operators, pilots, plumbers, bar workers, academics, and many many more) and can be found at Workblogging.
He also blogs about work-related news that may be of benefit to any bloggers who pass by.
